Katherine began her career working in the private sector as a project engineer working on multi-level buildings, tenant improvements, then transitioned into bridge building. After ten years in civil construction she went to the public sectior to work for the City of Placerville. While at the City she worked closely with Caltrans Department of Local Assistance and local stakeholders to move federally funded projects into construction, following she went back to the private sector to provide Verification and Validation reviews for the California High Speed Rail Construction Package 4.
Katherine has been a registered civil engineer since 2007 (#71406), a QSD/QSP (CASQA Certificate #20189) and is a member of the American Public Works Association.
